- The letters ‘Għ‘ and ‘Ie‘ are considered as only one letter.
- The letters ‘Ċ‘, ‘Ġ‘, ‘Ħ‘ and ‘Ż‘ are the 4 unique letters that are only used in the Maltese language
- Ġan Piet Franġisk Aguis De Soldanis was the man who published the first Maltese alphabet in the year 1750.
